bokuaka archive

i've been hooked on bokuaka for over 3 years now and have been reading through the bokuaka tag on AO3 religiously for just as long. i have a lot of recommendations from well-known works to the hidden or new ones that deserve more love. also i kinda hope you guys will find another bokuaka fic to talk about other than you-know-which-fic. anyway, this is a work in progress! i have so many more fics to put in here but i realized that if i waited until i finished it i might never share this with anyone, but hey i got a decent number here over one hundred works!
i hope that once i get the time i can organize them by angst, fluffy, AU, abo, pwp and so on.
also check the on going works section and support the authors :)

"'That reminds me of a story...'

Keiji Akaashi doesn't realize how much he needs Koutarou Bokuto until he's crashing into his life wearing a grin and missing an eye, telling stories that no one asked to hear.

"Akaashi always thought life gave Bokuto everything:
fame, money, friendship. Eventually, even true love.
What Akaashi didn’t know is that a perfect life always comes with a price,
and now it was time for Bokuto to pay it.
Or, less dramatically, a Circus AU featuring an untamed lion tamer, an acrobatic fire dancer, a mysterious master of horses, the world’s greatest illusionist and a guy who’s only supposed talent is to be good with animals.
You’ll get lots of purple, glitter, magic tricks, lions, junk food, an epic seaside trip and a secret from the past that threatens to take everything away from Bokuto. Especially Akaashi."

"'It’s hard not to be constantly talked about around here. Everyone has a name in something. But everyone knows Bokuto. It’s the same with Kuroo and it’s getting to be the same with Koganegawa, but Bokuto is the king of getting people to like him.' Iwaizumi let out a small, weak chuckle, strolling down the row a little more, touching a white appaloosa on the muzzle. Such an aesthetically pleasing horse. 'He annoyed the shit out of me at first, but I’d give my life for the son of a bitch now. He’s a good guy. Got a heart of gold.'

When Keiji visits his father's ranch for the first time in six years, he plans to keep to himself. Too bad most of the people inhabiting the ranch have a different plan. Most notably, a certain ranch hand with wicked hair and nearly golden eyes."

"Bokuto didn't miss the longing stare he got from the stands, did he know the man that was staring at him so intensely? He doesn’t recognize the dark blue eyes and messy black hair but he wished he did. Every game he’s played on his college team last year he noticed the same man, the same stare that caught his attention.
-
Akaashi played on the girls team his whole life and quit once he started his transition. It was the hardest decision of his life. He absolutely adored the sport, but considering the circumstances he was too intimidated to play the sport ever again. It never stopped him from living vicariously through the games he watched, the games he wished he could have played."

"An old journal and its unfinished story. Not the most appealing description when people hear it, no? But, strangely enough, it captures the attention of the ravenette named Akaashi.
And in a spur of emotions and desperation, he writes a small message, not expecting a reply. So, of course, the sudden appearance of a new entry has him reeling back in fear and surprise.
What’s more surprising is that he keeps writing and earns himself an unexpected pen pal. Oh, and did I mention that this pen pal is from the past?

A story where Akaashi finds a magical journal that he can use to communicate with its previous owner, Bokuto.

He’s determined to show off — ahem, to demonstrate all that he’s learned at the helm of world renowned chefs in Michelin Star kitchens.
Bokuto Koutarou tends to have more passion than sense. He joins Kuroo’s brigade on a whim after nearly slicing his hand off… and realizes just how much knowledge he’s actually lacking. He’s worked in kitchens his entire life, but none like Kuroo’s kitchen so, with excitement and trepidation, he throws himself into his work with Kuroo. And when he meets a lovely model named Akaashi, he decides to use his new found knowledge to help Akaashi fall in love with him. After all, the fastest way to a man’s heart is his stomach — right?"
